Hi, I’m Anita, website designer, email lover, and founder of House of Admin.
With 20 years in school administration, managing the Reception and Admin teams and working closely with the leadership team in areas of school improvement, staffing and communication, I decided to step away from full-time employment in 2024 to start House of Admin and initially started as a Virtual Assistant, but I soon fell in love with the mix of strategy and design that comes from building websites and email lists, so I now specialise in these two areas.
Working from my home in Somerset (with my long-haired sausage dog never far from my side), I support small business owners across the UK who want to feel more visible, more aligned, and less overwhelmed online.
Working collaboratively, we will design and build your bespoke website that reflects the real person behind your brand and an email system ready to connect with your audience. You’ll soon be intentionally and consistently sharing your offers with ease.
My Story - the short version!We all have a story, don’t we? I’m no different and my story definitely fuels my resilience and determination to run a successful business.
Spending over a decade battling infertility and loss, then navigating the pandemic, perimenopause, and burnout, I finally listened to my body and realised I needed to change what I was doing to move forward with my life.
So, I got a dog, registered House of Admin, and left my employed role to create a life that feels more me. Taking back control has given me a renewed sense of purpose, a strong desire to help others avoid burnout and a new zest for life that comes from building a business that feels 100% aligned with my ambition, happiness, and health.

A conversation with my hairdresser in November 2023 sparked an idea I had to explore. I had worked in education for 20 years and was ready for a change, so in January 2024 I started exploring how I could use my existing skills to work remotely as a Virtual Assistant to help small businesses.
I reduced my employed hours in September 2024 and resigned completely in May 2025. I now focus on what I’m most passionate about - helping small brands (who don’t always find it easy being centre of attention) to get their offers seen (and sold!) using web deign and email marketing.
I love what I do, who I help, and the transformations I’ve been a part of so far. Helping other women to be successful in business, and happy in life, is a privilege and my purpose.
