Inclusive Sensory Workshops for Care Homes and Adults with Learning Disabilities, & Handmade Gifts for Connection & Wellbeing
Background
Fabric Sewn Beautiful is a small Somerset-based business founded by Tara Goddard, bringing creativity, connection and sensory experiences to care homes, adults with learning disabilities and families supporting elderly people living with dementia.
In 2023, Tara started by creating personalised and meaningful gifts from repurposed fabrics. As the business evolved, so did her purpose. In 2025, Tara began taking her creativity into care homes, day centres and people's homes, creating calm, inclusive workshops where people can have a go under her expertise and guidance.
Fabric Sewn Beautiful is all about connection. Connection to oneself, either through memories, group activities or simply by finding calm and wellbeing. Connection to loved ones, through shared experiences, familiar scents and textures, and the joy of creating something together. Every workshop is designed to create a safe, inclusive space where people can explore their creativity, feel a sense of achievement and reconnect with moments, people and parts of themselves that matter most.
Tara's work is thoughtful, personal and deeply meaningful so she needed a website to reflect that.
Tara came to me ready for a new website that would properly represent the business she had grown into. Her previous DIY website no longer reflected the breadth, quality or purpose of her work. The business had evolved significantly, and so it was time to give her brand the website it deserved.
The Brief
clearly explain what Fabric Sewn Beautiful offers
make it easy for care homes and organisations to understand the workshops
speak directly to families and carers
showcase Tara's creativity and the quality of her work
communicate the warmth, care and inclusivity behind the business
give each audience a clear journey through the website
create a professional online presence that Tara could feel proud to share.
Most importantly, it needed to feel like Fabric Sewn Beautiful!
My Approach
We started by looking at what makes Tara's work so special. This included additional work to find keywords and phrases to optimise SEO.
The website structure was designed around the different people Tara wants to reach, making it easier for visitors to quickly find the experience or service that is right for them.
Visually, the design was kept soft, warm and welcoming, allowing Tara's photography, handmade work and the people experiencing her workshops to take centre stage.
The website feels considered and easy to navigate, despite the different sides of the business - giving visitors the information they need while allowing the heart of the business to shine through.
Bringing the Brand to Life
A big part of the project was making sure the website felt personal and showed Tara’s personality, passion and strong purpose.
Fabric Sewn Beautiful isn't about mass-produced products or impersonal experiences. Every workshop, activity box and gift is created by Tara - with the same thought and care she’d give to her own family, so the website needed to communicate that same feeling.
From the images and colour palette to the page layouts, typography and carefully considered copy, every element was chosen to create an online experience that feels calm, creative, personal and welcoming.
Like the tagline, this website is ‘made for connection’ so making the site user-friendly and easy to navigate was also important.
The Result
Fabric Sewn Beautiful now has a completely new online home that reflects where the business is today, and where Tara is taking it next.
The new Squarespace website:
clearly communicates what Fabric Sewn Beautiful does and who it supports
creates distinct journeys for its different audiences
showcases Tara's creativity and the quality of her work
brings the values of connection, creativity and inclusion to life
makes the workshops and activity boxes easier to understand
provides a professional platform for Tara to confidently share her business
gives the business room to continue growing and evolving.
Just like Tara's workshops, it is designed to help people see what is possible rather than what isn't!

What Tara said…
“I’ve loved the process of working with Anita from House of Admin to build my website. As my business has grown so much I really needed a fresh new look and had no clue where to start. Being so busy with my work, I didn’t have time to work on a website (nor the headspace) and that’s why Anita was a breath of fresh air into my life at the moment I needed it most!
We started with a very general idea of where to go, working out what was possible and changing things up along the way. The outcome of this is a smooth, user friendly website I am absolutely in love with and one I 100% could not have done myself.
The impact of hiring Anita to do the website has meant I have more time dedicated to my workshops in care homes and with adults with learning disabilities. Giving myself the time to adapt my sessions to their needs, not spending weeks trying to make my website glow.
I now feel totally ready to take the next steps my business needs with a beautiful website filled with the best information to send clients to. Not only presented in a professional and gorgeous layout, but bursting with the right SEO for my market!
This was by far one of the best decisions I’ve made all year. I was able to make decisions and provide the information without the stress of any SEO or behind the scenes website faff!
Anita is a fabulous person and I would highly recommend taking on any hard and complicated tasks with her by your side. You won’t regret it. She managed to fit every area of my business in beautifully together so it flowed perfectly, which I adore.”

Project reflection
Tara's project is a perfect example of why I love working with creative women. They care deeply about what they do, are talented, ambitious and make a difference to the lives of others and our communities.
It was a joy building a website that reflects Tara’s passion and personality, and one that can now grow with her business in the future.
